Admetus
Admetus is not the most well known cat in the play. In fact he's hardly ever seen up close and he often fades into the background! However, many Cats fans still find it in their heart to love him. This is mostly because of his frequent funny faces that show up in some parts of the play and give the audience a few laughs! Admetus has no mate.
Alonzo
Alonzo is easily reconizeable by his distinct black and white coat. He one of the younger Toms but he is more mature than most of his friends. This may be because he is second in comand to Munkustrap, the tribes defender. He probably feels a strong sence of responsibility over the tribe and is there for more serious. His mate is Cassandra and he has no children.
Bombalurina
Bombalurina is one of the most eye catching queens to walk the stage. Her flirtatious movements and attitude have a way of attract many Toms to her. She loves getting attention from Toms. The only queen who she cares for is her sister Demeter (although some belive they are just close friends. She feels a strong sence of responsibility for her younger sister and they are often seen togeather. Her mate is Rum Tum Tugger and she is always flirting with him. She has no children.
Bustopher Jones
Bustopher is a very overwieght friend of the Jellicles (He's a 25 pounder and is putting on wieght every day!) . He eats so much that the other cats worry about him puting on too much wieght. He is very sophisticated and is easily reconizeable by his black suit. He has no mate but is very much admired by Jennyanydots. He has no children but is thought to be the uncle of Mistofelees.
Cassandra
Cassandra is a sleek graceful Abbysinian and is probably the only Jellicle who is pedigreed. She has smooth fur and everyone of her movements is gracefully executed. She, like Bombalurina, loves getting attention from other Jellicles (So much that she rarely thinks about the needs of others). She is a very mysterious Jellicle and is most likely good friends with Coricopat and Tantomile and Mr. Mistofelees because they to are quite mysterious. Cassandra's mate is Alonzo and she has no children.
Coricopat
Coricopat is the Tom of the mysterious duo of the mystical twins. He and his sister Tantomile are rarely seen without each other. They have a way of sensing things before they happen. Some examples of this is that they can sense when Grizzabella and the Jellicle leader Old Deuteronomy are around. They have no mates or children for they prefer to keep to themselves and stick with eachother. They rarely speak because they communicate with eachother telepathicly. They are probably good friends with Mistofelees and Cassandra because they are also quite mysterious.
Demeter
Demeter is a young skitish Queen and always nervous and tense around Toms. The reason for this is because she was captured by Macavity at a very young age, toutured and raped, or she had a relationship with him that went wrong. Either way she doesn't want to have anything to do with him anymore. When ever Macavity shows up Demeter either scurries to the side of her mate Munkustrap or her sister Bombalurina. She also doesn't care for Rum Tum Tugger (more than most Toms). Demeter's mate is Munkustrap. Their are many opinions on who her children may be. Some think that Jemima is Demeter's daughter by Macavity on accident. Others think that demeters child is Electra by Munkustrap.
Electra
Electra is one of the kittens and is recon ized by her tortis shell colored fur. She is usaly seen with the her other friends Jemima, Etcetra, and Victoria but because of her shy disposition, she keeps to her self alot and is not noticed as much as the other cute kittens during the play. She is shy and serious except around Tugger who she obsesses over. She is possibly the daughter of Munkustrap and Demeter because she is seen alot with them during the play.
Etcetra
Etcetra is the second youngest kitten and usually thought to be the cutest. Her actions are always happy and friendly and she is rarely seen without a smile on her face. She, out of all the kittens, is most obsessed with Rum Tum Tugger. She goes crazy when ever he's around, squealing and trying to immitate him. She is loving and friendly and is happy no matter who she is with.
Grizzabella
Grizzabella is an old Dilapidated cat with very worn fur. Long ago she was a glamour cat and was very beautiful. Curious, she left the tribe to explore the outside world. She came upon some hard times and became a prostitute. Now, many years later she wants to return to the tribe and join into the Jellicle ball but the other Jellicles shun her. In a final attempt to regain the Jellicle's friendship she sings memory to tell how hard her life has been. Eventualy the cats except her and she is chosen to journey up to the Heavy side layer to be reborn. Grizzabella may be Demeter's mother but she has had so many kittens so she probably doesn't remeber her at all.
Gus
Gus is the cat who sits at the theater door. His name is really Asparagus but thats a fus to pronounce so the Jellicles just call him Gus. He is very old thin and ragged and his paws shake uncontrollably. However he loves to tell of the days in his youth when he was a famous actor and he often enlightens the Jellicles on all of his former parts as a young cat. He is probably Jellyorem's father.
Jellylorem
Jellyorem is one of the older adult cats. She is very close friends with Jennyanydots but also with Bombalurina and Demeter. Jellyorem is one of the motherly cats who takes care of all the kittens and helps Jennyanydots make sure every cat stays in line. For whatever reason she really loathes Grizzabella and blocks all of the cats from going to her. Her children may be Victoria and possibly Jemima (Though some think she is Demeter's daughter). No one is quite sure who her mate is. Her father is Gus.
Jemima
Jemima is the youngest and most curious of the kittens. She is very happy and loveable and can be seen with her friends Etcetra, Electra and Victoria. When ever Grizzabella is around she tries to welcome her back into the tribe but the other cats stop her. Like the other kittens Jemima is very obsessed with Rum Tum Tugger. Jemima is either the daughter of Demeter and Macavity, or Jellyorem and the sister of Victoria
Jennyanydots
Jennyanydots is the motherly nurse kitten, always makeing sure every Jellicles needs are met. She is very kind and friendly but also orderly and sometimes a bit bossy. She always is makeing sure the mice and the cockroaches don't misbehave. Jenny is a very fat cat, nicknamed the Gumbie cat by the Jellicles. She sleeps all day but when all of the cats are asleep she becomes active. Jenny is very good friends with Jellyorem, Bombalurina and Demeter. Her mate is Skimbleshanks and no one knows if she has children or not.
Macavity
Macavity is an evil cat and enjoys terrorizing the Jellicles. He is wanted for every thing but Scotland Yard is always too late to catch him because he always dissapears from the scene of crime before they show up. Macavity is nick-named the hidden paw and the Napolean of crime for his numerous wicked deeds. He once kidnapped Demeter and raped and tortured her. He has fierce ginger fur that seems to create a mood of fear in the junkyard. He obviously has no mate but some think that Jemima is his kitten by Demeter.
Mr. Mistofelees
Magical Mr. Mistofelees is an enchanting tuxedo Cats that brings fire works to the stage (literaly) with his personality and dancing. He has known as Quaxo until later introduced as Misto. Misto is a young adolesent cat who loves to show off his magical powers. His magic turns out to be very useful when he rescues Old Deuteronomy from Macavity during the play. Many dispute if Misto and Victoria are mates, siblings, or just close friends. Whatever the case they are seen many times togeather in the play. Misto's uncle is Bustopher Jones and his father may be either Macavity or Munkustrap.
Mungojerrie
Mungojerrie and his sister Rumpleteezer are a notorious couple of cats. They are always stealing things from the local towns folk and other Jellicles. They do what they please and what someone asks when it benifits them. Some say that Mungojerris is mates with Rumple instead of siblings. This is one ofthe largest disputes about Cats the musical. Mungojerrie is a middle aged Tom and no one knows who his parents are.
Munkustrap
Munkustrap is second in command to Old Deuteronomy and is going to be the Jellicle leader when he dies. He is the gaurdian of the Jellicles and is very protective over his pride. He is the only silver tabby on the stage so he is easily distinguished by the audience. His mate is Demeter and his children may be Electra, Jemima, or Misto. His father is Old Deuteronomy and his brothers are Rum Tum Tugger and Macavity.
Old Deuteronomy
Old Deuteronomy is a very old Cat, older than almost all of the Jellicles (Gus being the only exception). He is very wise and revered by the ctas in the junkyard. He is very large and his coat is torn and shabby. It is said that he's buried nine wives, possibly more. His sons are Munkustrap, Rum Tum Tugger and Macavity and he has no current mate.
Plato
Plato is another one of the cats who usually just blends into the background. The only part of the play where he stands out is when he does the mateing dance with Victoria. Plato is an adolesent Tom and is not mature like Alonzo and Munkustrap. He is very good friends with Pouncival and Tumblebrutus but is not quite as lively as them. Plato idolizes Rum Tum Tugger and tries to be just like him on every occasion. Plato's mate is Victoria and he has no children.
Pouncivile
Pouncival is a young adolesent Tom. He is very lively and often does tricks during the play. He is good friends with Tumblebrutus and Plato, the other young Toms. He idolizes Rum Tum Tugger like is friends and hopes to be just like him when he gets older. He has no mate or children but many say that he likes Jemima very much and is planning to mate with her when she comes of age.
Rum Tum Tugger
The Rum Tum Tugger is a curious cat. Adored by kittens and scorned by mature adults, Rum Tum Tugger is one of the most memorible Toms to walk the junkyard. When ever he's around he is greeted with enthusiastic squeals from the kittens (excpecialy Etcetra). Adults are anoyed by him because of his flirtatious ways. He is however adored by his mate Bombalurina. The red queen is always seen flirting with him even though he sometimes plays "hard to get". Rum Tum Tugger has no children. His father is Old Deuteronomy and his brothers are Munkustrap and Macavity.
Rumpleteezer
Rumpleteezer and her brother Mungojerrie are a notorious couple of cats. They are always stealing things from the local towns folk and other Jellicles. The Great Rumpus Cat
The Great Rumpus Cat is a character in a story often told by the Jellicles. He is very strong and fierce and feared by dogs. When a horrible battle ensued between the Peaks and the Pollicle dogs he came to the rescue and scattered the dogs away. He is a revered super hero for every cat. However he is not so brave when Macavity shows up!
Skimbleshanks
Skimbleshanks is the cat of the railway train. He serves on the Northern rail and helps moniter the train for any disruptions. He is a very beloved Jellicle and is friendly and bright. Skimble is a very fatherly Tom to the kittens and is one of the older cats. He is very mature and doesn't aproove of Rum Tum Tugger. His mate is Jennyanydots no one knows if he has any children.
Tantomile
Tantomile is the Queen of the mysterious duo of the mystical twins. He and his sister Tantomile are rarely seen without each other. They have a way of sensing things before they happen. Some examples of this is that they can sense when Grizzabella and the Jellicle leader Old Deuteronomy are around. They have no mates or children for they prefer to keep to themselves and stick with eachother. They rarely speak because they communicate with eachother telepathicly. Tumblebrutus
Tumblebrutus is an adolesent cat, easily reconized by his white and brown coat. He is very acrobatic and lively and not very mature. He doesn't stand out as much as some other cats but he does have a few solo lines so he gets time in the lime light. Tumblebrutus is good friends with Pouncival and Plato. Like his friends he idolizes Rum Tum Tugger and tries to do exactly what he does.
Victoria
Victoria is the oldest kitten and is easily reconizealble by her completely white coat. At the Jellicle ball in the play she is turning into a Queen at the Jellicle ball and she mates with Plato. She is very beautiful , graceful and flexible. Victoria is very sweet tempered and shy. However she is not shy around Tugger who she is obsessed with. She is Jellyorems daughter and Jemima's sister, or Macavity's daughter and possibly Mistofelees sister.
