Wanna be in CATS? 05/14/2008

You know you do! Well, I can't make that happen, but what I CAN do is make it so you know which character suits you best! This is where you can become a character from CATS! Basicly, you submit a form (And, if possible, a video) and I will decide which part is best for you! In your form, you must include:

Experience (How many plays have you been in?):

Prefered character (If you could choose, who would you be?):

Talents: (Singing dancing arobics and other things!)

Love of Cats (Which you probably already have!)

Email (We won't con you. We promise! But if you're real cautious send your form to us on the website and we'll get back to you there. Video on Youtube about your self? You can let us see it by sending the URL!

Note* If you want us to add a made up character to the cast list send us the name, personality, family ties and costume design! We'll add it to the cast list!

Hello Jellicles,

My name is Jazzy, and before we start I was just wondering if even though I am a queen if I could get the part of a tom? I was just wondering if that was possible. Anyway, I will stop stalling and fill this out.

1) Jazzy

2) I have been in only one actual play, and that was Danm Yankees, but I have been on stage many times before.

3) I would want to be Mistoffelees if I could pick any character.

4)I like to sing, my vocal range is a tenor; however, singing is not my strong point I am more of a dancer. I have been dancing for fourteen years and I do Jazz, ballet, and some tap.

5)I am head over tail for the musical Cats. It has been my favorite musical for many years now.

Misto doesn't have many solo lines so you could definetly sing chorus. Plus Misto has alot of danceing so you could probably do that. Elaborate on your dance skill!

Also Misto is played by a girl all the time in musicals! It's hard to find a boy with extensions that Misto needs for danceing so yes Queens can be Toms!

Talents: I can sing and my range is alto/surprano(sp?), I can't really dance, and I am really good at arts and crafts(if that counts for any thing.

Love of Cats: Well, I LOVE Cats. My dad got me the soundtrack to the original broadway performance, and then the video and I just fell in love with it.

I agree, although Rumpleteezer also has a high voice. If she can pull off a cockney accent she should be able to play her... but she also needs acrobatics... Do you do gymnastics?

Experience: Um 2 major musicals. Beach Blankey Tempest and Jungle Fantasy. I have also done various other smaller stage performances. Mainly for school and such, one was a play with a very similar storyline to Rocky Horror Picture Show lol...but yeh...also done choir since I was like 8 and I'm 17 now.

Prefered character: Uh Demeter or Bombalurina, or maybe Electra or Jemima.

Talents: I am a singer. I am mainly cast in singing roles. My vocal range is Mezzo Soprano so I can go low and I can go high. Umm oh yeh I am also a firgure skater. So I may not do professional dancing as such but Im still fairly flexible, (splits and high kicks are my faves) so yeh figure skating was very good experience for me. I do do some dancing, mainly a bit fo jazz that my mother teaches me.

Love of Cats: Hehe well Im like completely obsessed with cats...who isnt. I write fanfiction and have my own board. I have made wigs, armwarmers, tail and do lots of makeup for cats. Still havent done the unitard though. I watch the DVD of cats like twice a day much to my parents displeasure. Sadly here in Australia cats is never performed anywhere near me so that kinda stinks...but yeh...

Prefered character: Probably Demeter. Although I like Rumpelteazer and Etcetera's roles also.

Talents: I've had some gymnastics and jazz dance training, and am usually cast as dancing roles, so have learned from choreographers. My voice range is mezzo soprano, or soprano.

Love of Cats: Cats has been my favorite musical for about 5 years now. I've seen the show live, and although I'm not as active within the Cats community as I used to be, I do still enjoy writing fanfictions and drawing the Jellicles when my inspiration strikes. I play on RPGs still, and enjoy wearing my Demeter costume. :P

OK I'm answering Kassie's first. Since you do jazz danceing sometimes, are flexible and cast in singing parts I would say that the best role for you would be Demeter. She has a lot of singing solo, and Macavity is sort of a jazzy dance. You could also play Bombalurina, or Jemima, depending on how high you can sing. But I think that Demeter is the beat role for you to play!

Ok, now Pelegeya. You to have a good voice range for Demeter, and the right type of dance training. If you have a good cockney accent you could play Rumpleteezer, and with a good squeal you could play Etcetra! You have a wide horizon with your roles with gymnastics training!
